Day
1: Arrive at San Jose’s
Santa Maria International Airport and be transported
back to your yacht, and into a world of incomparable
beauty. There are more species of exotic flora and fauna
in Costa Rica than in the entire United States. Head
south and anchor for the evening in one of the many
bays that punctuate the shoreline.
Days 2 & 3:
Arrive in Golfito and make the dreaded decision of what
to do. Many activities will beckon you, can you do them
all? Hiking in the Piedras Blancas National Park, surfing,
and world-class sportfishing all vie for your attention.
Then again, Golfito is a duty free port, so there is
shopping to be accomplished, too.
Day 4: Isla
Del Cano: today snorkel in crystal clear water with
so many tropical fish that you feel as though you are
in an aquarium. Finish the day at Bahia Drake, which
also has terrific snorkeling and beautiful beaches.
Day 5 & 6:
Head north up to Quepos, which has long been a hotspot
for fishermen searching for marlin and sailfish. The
fishing is fabulous, but a visit to the Manuel Antonio
State Park is not to be missed. It sits along the Pacific
Coast and boasts an estuary, mangroves, a lagoon, beaches
and winding paths. One trail leads you to an observation
tower with a breathtaking 360 degree view.
Day 7:
Last, but certainly not least: a visit to Isla Tortuga
and the famous Curu Wildlife Refuge. It is home to white-faced
and mantled howler monkeys, white-nosed coatis, three-toed
sloths, and toucans, so don’t forget your camera.
Spend the afternoon relaxing as you swim, kayak, snorkel
or beach comb.
Day 8:
Head back to the village of Jaco, where you will leave
Miss Michelle for the San Jose airport and home, filled
with good food, fabulous memories and the desire to
do this trip all over again!
