About Us
Distinctive Charter Yachts International was created in July, 2001. The objective was to create a publication that was affordable for both yacht owners to advertise in and charter agents to purchase. It would be comprehensive enough to serve as a reference for charter agents, come out in a timely manner and yet be so beautiful that people would want to display it on their coffee tables.

The result was a fixed format catalog of some of the world's finest yachts. We strive to create a balance between the mega-yacht and the smaller, more intimate vessels, as well as between motor yachts and sailing yachts. DCYI is published twice a year, in October and in April, to coincide with the start of each charter season.

We aggressively distribute the catalog, not only through the established channels of charter agents and their clients, but also by reaching out to find new charter guests for the yachts. Potential customers who might not even have realized the availability and affordability of chartering a private yacht are targeted by directly mailing it to thousands of CEOs and business owners, distributing the catalog at executive jet centers, yacht and country clubs and selling it at exclusive bookstores such as Blue Water Books in Ft. Lauderdale.
